Filed under fang2The regulator finally came in so I did a quick pressure test. It turns out this will probably be the last pressure test I'll do for a while because my bike pump broke likely due to a combination of the pressure and adiabatic heating.
The Clippard MAR regulator worked very well. The pressure was regulated consistently. Initially I was worried that it wouldn't regulate consistently because Clippard's catalog seemed to imply the non-relieving version was less consistent than relieving one, but for this application the consistency is more than adequate.
The aluminum tank must be threaded firmly into the bushing or else the gasket will pop out and you'll leak air.
I'll be making some 3D models of the parts I'll need to make in the next few days and hopefully I can have a working prototype in the next few weeks.
